Paul was the best you could wish for in a tutor. As a former student of his during my marine engineering apprenticeship, and between 2000 and 2003 I attended ITE College.

Paul couldn't have been more patient and easy-going as I grappled with some of the inevitable written assignments and struggled with deadlines.  Without this patience; vast experience and knowlege; ability to teach each person in terms they could understand and cope with, combined with huge enthusiasm and humour, I really doubt I'd have got through and gained my qualifications.

I am so saddened to find that he has passed on. Facebook is a wonderful resource, and I happened to look Paul up as I wanted to leave him a message to say hello and thank him which I wish I'd done yesrs ago.

My thoughts go out to all friends and family.

Thankyou for everything Paul.  Hope to give you a man-hug and chat about diesel engines one day.
